The following incidents were reported by our neighbouring Block Watch. Please note the window was smashed so thieves are not just targeting insecure vehicles anymore. LOCK your car and remove your valuables/garage door openers.

Incident #1

FILE NUMBER:  TBA

DATE & TIME:  Monday, July 4, 2016 sometime between 2:00 and 2:30 am

LOCATION:  16126 – 28A Avenue

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY:

Video surveillance shows a male Caucasian approx. 5’9”, 160 lbs wearing dark clothing and a hoodie smashing thedriver’s side window of the vehicle located at 16126 – 28A Avenue Video also shows that this male would have been casing the area as he showed up at 2:00 am and was back again between 2:20 and 2:30 am at which time the criminal activity took place.  The male then took the remote from the car and entered the resident’s garage.  This appears to be the same individual seen on video committing other criminal activity several weeks back.  

Incident #2

FILE NUMBER:  TBA

DATE & TIME:  Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 2:25 am

LOCATION:  moving east up 28A Ave between 160A Street and 161 Street then south on 161 Street towards 28 Ave 

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY:

A male matching the description in Incident #1 above was seen checking the door handles on vehicles to see if any cars were unlocked.  911 was called. 

If you saw anything suspicious around the time of the above incidents, or experienced a theft to your personal propertyplease call the RCMP non-emergency providing the above details.  I am attempting to get the File Numbers.  

NOTE:  The RCMP patrolling our area (the loop of 28A & B Ave and 160A & 161 Street) this morning (July 7) at 3:34 am.  They were using the search lights and not sure if another call had been placed to 911 or if they are ramping up their patrols in our neighborhood.
