1- Come Join us along with the City of Surrey for a Community Picnic– Thursday July 16th@ Dufferin Park- 17355 2nd Ave. This is a free community event that runs from 5:30pm-7:30pm. See attached poster.
2- There was a total of 11 reported Break and Enters between June 25-July 1
- 9 Residential (Ocean Park x 2, Hazlemere, Sunnyside x 2, Grandview Heights, Douglas/Peace Arch, Elgin, Campbell Heights)
- 1 Commercial (Grandview Heights)
- 1 Other (shed etc.) Ocean Park
With it being nicer weather, reminder to keep your doors and windows locked. You can also invest in window stops which allows airflow but keeps your home secure. IF you are a victim of a Break and Enter DO NOT TOUCH anything. By tidying or cleaning up you are decreasing the chances of us being able to get fingerprints etc.
3- There was 1 vehicle stolen in South Surrey for the week of June 25-July 1
- 16600 Block of 24th – It has since been recovered a few blocks away
4- South Surrey Shredding Event– Proceeds of this Shred A Thon are going to Cops for Cancer. We will be at the South Surrey Superstore on Saturday August 10th from 9:30 am to 1:00pm
