1- Public Safety Fair –  This event will be held on Saturday, November 2, from 10am to 2pm at Salish Secondary School (7278 184 Street, Surrey). The Public Safety Fair will showcase the Surrey RCMP’s collaborative prevention and intervention programs with local partners, and inform the public on how they can get involved in public safety. Admission is free and registration is not required.

There will be a number of family-friendly activities including:

Free barbecue prepared by Surrey RCMP police officers and staff (11:00 am – 1:00 pm).

• Free on-site shredding of your personal documents with Super Save Shredding (10:00 am – 2:00 pm). Donations for the Surrey Food Bank are welcome.

Mini-presentations of the new module of our “Shattering the Image” anti-gang program, and brand new Project Lavender for youth (launching soon).

Information on Surrey RCMP programs and services including gang prevention, youth services, community programs, Victim Services, property/auto crime, and more.

Information booths hosted by: Safe Schools, Crime Stoppers, SAFE program partners, Vision Zero, Surrey Fire Service, Bylaws, Big Brothers, Lookout, Surrey Urban Mission, Surrey Crime Prevention Society, BIAs, and more.

Mini-Blue fitness sessions for children and youth facilitated by police officers.

3- There were 10 reported Break and Enters in South Surrey between Oct 15-Oct 21:

• 3 residential (Grandview Heights x 2, Elgin)

• 4 residential *Entry via garage* (Ocean Park, Elgin x 2, Grandview)

• 3 businesses (Campbell Heights x 2, Hazlemere)

3- There were 2 vehicles stolen in South Surrey between Oct 15-Oct 21:

• 26th / 164th

• 23rd / 164th *has since been recovered*
