Dear Homeowners:
We hope this email finds you well. As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain the aesthetics and safety of our community, we would like to address an important issue. During a recent walkthrough by the Landscape Committee, we noticed that many homeowners are using common and limited common property (breezeways and patios etc.) to store personal items. We understand that storage space is limited in most of our units, but we must remind you that this practice is against our strata bylaws.
Our strata bylaws are designed to ensure a pleasant and uniform appearance throughout our community and to maintain the safety and accessibility of common areas. Storing items in breezeways and patios can create unsightly conditions, obstruct pathways, and potentially pose hazards to residents, particularly when items are placed on the grates covering the basement egress points.
In accordance with our bylaws, we kindly ask all homeowners to take the following actions:
- Please remove any personal items currently stored in breezeways. This includes, but is not limited to, furniture, bicycles, bags of soil, boxes, plant pots and other miscellaneous items. Deck Boxes are acceptable if they are not on the grates.
- Garbage cans and recycling cans are to be stored in garages not beside units or in the breezeways.
- Bicycles are to be stored in garages not on patios or in entrance ways.
- Items acceptable on patios are summer furniture and accessories.
- Ensure that any items visible on patios are kept neat and tidy and conform to the community’s aesthetic standards.
Kindly attend to any area you may need to address as another Landscape Walkthrough will be occurring soon and action to uphold our bylaws will need to be taken.
We understand that compliance may require some effort, but it is essential for the overall appearance and safety of our community. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to maintain the high standards that make Wills Creek one of the more desirable places to live in South Surrey.
For any questions or if you need assistance in understanding the bylaws or finding alternative storage solutions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Landscape Committee. Our goal is to work together to ensure that our community remains a beautiful and safe place to live.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
