LOCATION: 28A Ave & 160 Street which expanded to a number of areas (see description below)
DESCRIPTION OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITY:
An individual, believed to be male, riding an older model scooter (1970’s) was seen riding slowly up 28A Ave, then went down and up 161A Street, turning east down 28A Ave. and then went down and back up 161B Street. The Block Watch resident who was out in his yard at the time sensed something was not right and started to follow this individual on foot, he then returned to his home to get his vehicle in order to follow the suspect who was increasing the area he was casing. Once in his car he followed the suspect for some time going up and down, 162 and 28th, 164th and 28th down to 168th to Northview Ave, and Grandview Heights. The entire time the suspect was going up and down each street and appeared to be casing each area. The non-emergency line was called and the RCMP were dispatched.
The suspect individual is described as, possibly male, wearing a black motorcycle helmet with clear facial shield, slight build, black jacket with white strip down the arms, dark pants, age unknown due to the helmet and clothing. The scooter the suspect individual was driving was an older model scooter 1970’s, blue (light baby blue) and silver. The individual followed the scooter and was able to pick up a partial plate…first two numbers unknown, last 4 numbers appeared to be 5701.
A follow up call was made by the RCMP to confirm the area the suspect individual was last seen, but the RCMP were not able to locate anyone.
Please keep your eyes open for a scooter with an individual with the above description and report immediately to the RCMP.
Remember to keep your garage doors down and your property secured…it is not very likely this person was driving the streets to see who had the best lawn…just trying to inject a bit of humour from the person who reported this.
