See two incidents that occurred in our community recently. It appears thieves are active in the areas once again. Both incidents have been reported to the RCMP. Remember to lock vehicles and remove garage door openers or set lock on wall mounted garage door opener inside. “Observe it, Report it”

Date and Time: December 29th, 2015
Location: Unit # 24- 3122 160th (Wills Creek)
Description of Suspicious Activity:
A culprit cut 3 wires in a Shaw/TELUS service box. The incident was reported by neighbour as their TELUS service was interrupted. (See attached picture). The TELUS repair technician has been on site twice. Was told by a resident that they did see someone lurking around this box. Cover is very hard to move and someone would have to be familiar with what is there. Suspected Wire theft.

Date and Time: Sunday Jan 10th, during early morning hours
Location: Unit # 65, 3109 161 St (Wills Creek)
Description of Suspicious Activity:
Sometime overnight thieves broke into a car parked at #65 and found their remote control providing access to the garage, Thieves stole contractor tools, landscaping tools, supplies, as well as other personal items. The incident was reported to police the next day. It is believed the car was locked at the time.
