Good Morning Block Watch Members,
Surrey RCMP are investigating two early morning collisions that occurred within minutes of each other.
The first collision, which occurred at 7:30am, was on 64th Avenue in the 15800 block. A motorcyclist collided with the rear of a dump truck and has sustained serious life threatening injuries.
Ten minutes later, at 7:40am, the second collision involved a pedestrian that was struck on 192nd Street in the 5400 block. The pedestrian also suffered serious life threatening injuries.
Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT), along with help from our Traffic Enforcement Unit and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) are investigating. Investigators expect to be on scene for several more hours which will affect traffic.
Police are asking motorists to plan alternate routes around these areas:
- Traffic on 64th Avenue is blocked in both directions from 152nd Street to the 16600 block.
- Traffic on 192nd Street is blocked in both directions between 54th Avenue and the Langley Bypass.
