Fellow Wills Creek Homeowners,

Fall has finally arrived, along with changes in weather, cooler temperatures and shorter daylight hours. Your Maintenance Committee and Strata Council wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the work completed in our community throughout this past spring and summer.

The majority of the final phase of the exterior painting has been completed with only some minor deficiencies, with the final inspection by the Master Painter and Decorators Association Inspector who will file his report. The sills on the pillars of our “A Units” have been retro fitted with metal flashing to protect them from the elements for the foreseeable future, and some additional post sills were completed on an as needed basis.

Levelling of the pavers on our entrances and patios has begun and will continue as we plan our future budgets. Rain water management continues to improve and our roofing inspection has been completed. Council will review the roofing inspection recommendations to prolong their effectiveness and life expectancy.

As the rainy season approaches please ensure rainwater pads that may have been moved during the summer are readjusted to direct water away from the foundations and inspect the downpipes for any blockages as the gutters are not scheduled for their annual cleaning until the majority of the tree leaves fall. Also as the temperatures continue to fall it is imperative that you disconnect your garden hoses from the hose bibs and if possible put a frost cover on to prevent water freezing in the bibs. This is also a good time to have your geothermal units and fireplaces serviced and inspected for trouble free winter use.

Finally, as we are seeing an uptick in the Covid 19 cases being reported please remain vigilant in the protocols and procedures in place that are helping to keeping our families and community safe.
